My 2017 Business & Personal Goals
This year I really want to focus on bettering myself and my business. The first week of January I spent a total of 6...7...or 8 hours on writing my goals. I am hoping this year I will accomplish all of my goals, since I am writing out and framing my goals. Plus I will also be having accountability partners to help me stay on track.
Here are a few of my goals for this year:
Spiritual: Develop a better relationship with God and learn more about him.
I have not been a good Christian and I have lost my way. This year will be different; I will strive to develop a relationship with God so I can see a positive outcome in my present life, future life, and everyone around me.
Relational: Develop a stronger relationship with my husband, Christopher, and my family.Christopher and I will be scheduling 2 dates per month that will help us strengthen our relationship and help us better communicate with each other. With my family, we all live in different states, which make it difficult to get together. We only get to see each other in special occasions. This year I want to schedule quarterly Family Dinners at the Table. A day just devoted to family.
Physical: Run a 5 mile run in less than 50 minutes
I have been upper lazy these past few years!! I am hoping by getting back into running I will be stronger and better in year 2018 to run either a half or full marathon!! Eeek..
Professional: Book 5 Weddings!!
Back in 2015 I fell in love photographing weddings! In 2016 I had many opportunities to second shoot with AMAZING and TALENTED photographers! This really helped me get to know other photographers in the industry. So this year I want to get to know 5 wonderful couples and witness two people commit to each other and God! Cannot wait to meet these wonderful couples this year!!! Will it be you??? (:
Financial: Learn and get better at our personal finances.
Christopher introduced me to Dave Ramsey and ever since then we have been following Dave to help us with our finances. However, I have not been very involved in our personal finance, as I should be. So this year that will change. I will learn and help with our monthly budget.
Personal: Be more adventurous and get better at grammar… :P
I am not a very adventurous person; usually my nerves and fear get the best of me. So this year I want to take a risk… I have yet to plan those trips or events, but when I do I will let y’all know. I know for sure that I will not be doing anything that will involve spiders or snakes!!!
As for my grammar, Spanish was my first language and growing up in elementary school I was in bilingual courses. I am very appreciative of those courses because it helped me not forget about my native language, however, sometimes I do not say the right word(s) when I am speaking to my peers. So this year I am going to try my best and use the correct word(s) so people can finally understand what I am saying, instead of saying “You know what I mean” when I say something wrong… :D
Here it goes!! I am ready for 2017!!! This will be the year that I will FINALLY accomplish my goals!!! YAY!!!
