They met at a small dance venue in their hometown, Portales, NM. Federico saw Selica while he was on the dance floor dancing away to the beat of the music. He knew from that moment that he had to ask her to dance with him; he just couldn’t take his eyes off of her. As soon as the song ended, Federico walked over to her and asked her if he would dance with him, Selica accepted. (: They both do not remember what song was playing or who was playing. They just remember how much fun they had that night. On that night, Federico knew she was different and had to talk to her again.
